Go to My Computer. In here you should see an icon called Dial-Up Networking.
Double-click on the Make New Connection, this brings up the screen below. Type "Connect" as the connection name. Your modem should appear in the Select a modem box. If it isn't there then make sure it is installed correctly and choose it from the drop-down list;
Click on Next and enter our dialup number ( Modem number : 0845 6600971, ISDN 64K number : 0845 6651583, ISDN 128K number : 0845 6651584 ) in the telephone number box. Select United Kingdom from the Country code box;
Click Next and Finish;
The new "Connect" dialup connection icon will appear in the dialup networking window;
Finally, you need to configure the properties of the connection. Right-click on the new Connect icon and go to Properties;
This is the window that will appear;
Select the Server Types tab and remove the ticks from Log on to network, NetBEUI and IPX/SPX Compatible;
Click on the TCP/IP Settings button and make sure that both Server assigned IP address and Server assigned name server addresses are selected;
Click on OK to return to the dialup networking window and then double-click on the Connect icon to bring up the window below;
